I want a netbook

So I would love a netbook. Just basically a word processor and internet for me while I'm doing the school thing and walking around campus. I don't need it to powerful, but I would definitely like something that can last a long time, surf the internet (at least play Vimeo and Flash videos without a problem) and keep MS Word up and running.

Woot.com is having a deal for a netbook and it got me interested again and I'm curious if I should buy that, or go with a new one from amazon? Any thoughts? Suggestions? Idears?

get one with 2gb and a bigger screen you will be very happy you did. I got mine for a good deal because it had windows vista but i just gave it a piradded win7 and it works really well

I want a netbook, not a laptop. Why would I want a bigger screen? Something small and easily portable is my goal. Take class notes, upload to my desktop for real work, then call it good.

I would suggest not getting an Atom. Spend $50 to get a better processor.

You'll be able to browse the web and play videos. Definitely not 1080, but maybe 720 will be smooth in a window.

Basically that's all I want. Open MS Word (or some other similar program) and use the web for when I'm in class and/or walking around campus. I'm really hoping the refurb one won't be too much of a problem. Need this thing to last a few years. I get it on Thursday and I'll let you guys know of my impression.

I want one too but I'm waiting for the price on the top O' the line models that are out now to come down. I know I would be disappointed with an atom, windows starter, and choppy hd video (Portable video player would be a primary function for me)
